A Love to Kill is a 2005 South Korean television drama series, starring Rain, Shin Min-ah, Kim Sa-rang and Lee Ki-woo. It aired on KBS2 from October 31 to December 20, 2005 on Mondays and Tuesdays at 21:55 for 16 episodes.
I don't usually watch drama this old, because I find them quite cheesy and the aesthetics is not as good. But when I saw the leading actors I changed my mind.
Synopsis:
Kang Bok-gu (Rain) is a skilled K-1
fighter. However, he has never tried to win a single fight, as he has
no desire for the attention that will come with a title. After years of lose contact with his older brother
Kang Min-gu (Kim Young-jae),
Bok-gu finally finds him and reconciles with him. However, the reunion is
short-lived as Min-gu falls from the roof of a building upon learning of the engagement of
his ex-girlfriend, Cha Eun-suk (Shin Min-ah).
Eun-suk is an famous actress. Caught in a compromising position with Kim Joon-sung (Lee Ki-woo),
heir to a large conglomerate, she is forced into an engagement with
him. As Min-gu lies in a vegetative state, Bok-gu learns of his
relationship with Eun-suk. Min-gu had taken care of Eun-suk and her
family, often helping them out financially, before Eun-suk became a
famous actress. Bok-gu incorrectly assumes that Eun-suk is a social
climber who broke up with Min-gu upon achieving success because she
thought he would be a burden. Bok-gu blames her for Min-gu’s current
state and vows revenge.
Bok-gu starts by getting himself hired as Eun-suk’s bodyguard. Then
using the same method as his brother (as detailed in Min-gu’s diary),
Bok-gu woos her. Reluctantly, Eun-suk starts to fall for Bok-gu. And to
complicate matters, Bok-gu finds himself falling for Eun-suk as well.
The beginning is slow, but when the leading characters finally start interacting with each other is so good and kind of sad.
Like I said before. Is a cheesy drama with over dramatic acting. But you can't avoid love a character like Bok-gu. And Rain plays him so well. Both of their acting and chemistry is really good.

Everything was going so well until the end. I hated it. Like honestly why it ended like that? Do they really had to die? They didn't do anything wrong. Even before the brother dies he asks Bok-gu to love Eun-suk and take care of her so what is the problem?
The guilt of loving his brother's ex girlfriend? That doesn't make sense to me. Maybe is a cultural thing, I'm not sure but is a *bad word here*.
I think besides the slow beginning and the end, it was a good drama. I enjoy the chemistry between them and seeing how their impossible love grew.

A Love to Kill es una serie dramática surcoreana del 2005, protagonizada por Rain, Shin Min-ah, Kim Sa-rang y Lee Ki-woo. Se emitió el KBS2 desde el 31 de octubre al 20 de diciembre del 2005, los lunes y martes a las 21:55 durante 16 episodios.
Normalmente no veo el dramas tan antiguos, porque los encuentro bastante cursis y la estética no es tan buena. Pero cuando vi a los actores principales cambié de opinión.
Sinopsis:
Kang Bok-gu (Rain) es un experto en combate K-1. Sin embargo, nunca ha tratado de ganar una sola pelea, ya que no tiene deseo de la atención que vendrá con un título. Después de años de perder contacto con su hermano mayor Kang Min-gu (Kim Young-jae), Bok-gu, finalmente lo encuentra y se reconcilia con él. Sin embargo, la reunión es corta, ya que Min-gu cae desde el techo de un edificio al enterarse del compromiso de su ex novia, Cha Eun-suk (Shin Min-ah).
Eun-suk es una famosa actriz. Atrapada con Kim Joon-sung (Lee Ki-woo), heredero de un gran conglomerado, en una situación comprometedora, se ve obligada a comprometerse con él. Mientras Min-gu se encuentra en estado vegetal, Bok-gu se entera de su relación con Eun-suk. Min-gu se había ocupado de Eun-suk y su familia, a menudo ayudándoles económicamente antes de que Eun-suk se convirtiera en una actriz famosa. Bok-gu asume incorrectamente que Eun-suk es un aprovechada que rompió con Min-gu al alcanzar el éxito porque ella pensó que iba a ser una carga. Bok-gu la culpa por el estado actual de Min-gu y jura venganza.
Bok-gu comienza consiguiendo por ser contratado como guardaespaldas de Eun-suk. Luego, utilizando el mismo método que su hermano (como se detalla en el diario de Min-gu), Bok-gu la corteja. De mala gana, Eun-suk comienza a enamorarse de Bok-gu. Y para complicar las cosas, Bok-gu se enamora de Eun-suk también.
El comienzo es lento, pero cuando los personajes principales, finalmente comienzan a interactuar es muy bueno y un poco triste.
Como dije antes. Es un drama cursi con actuaciones muy dramáticas. Pero no se puede evitar amar a un personaje como Bok-gu. Y Rain lo interpreta muy bien. Tanto sus actuaciones como la química entre los protagonistas es muy buena.
Y sobre todo disfrute cómo él se enamora de ella.

Todo iba muy bien hasta el final. Lo odie. Siendo honestos ¿por qué terminó así? ¿Tenían realmente que morir? Ellos no hicieron nada malo. Incluso antes de que el hermano muere, le dice a Bok-gu que ame a Eun-suk y cuide de ella, entonces ¿cual es el problema?
La culpa de amar a la ex novia de su hermano? Eso no tiene sentido para mí. Tal vez es una cosa cultural, no estoy segura, pero es una *inserte mala palabra aquí*.
Creo que además del principio lento y el final, fue un buen drama. Disfrute de la química entre ellos y de ver como su amor imposible crecía.
